I was a cop for 14 years. I did my time on patrol, spent a few years as a close-protection bodyguard and finished my career in counter-terrorism. I now lead a large team of security professionals for which I’ve won awards and I’m a certified leadership coach.
During my career, nobody taught me how to lead teams effectively or how to get promoted. So I worked like a maniac for years and got little or no recognition for it.
